Lohues became known for his brand of 'Dutch Americana', sung in the Drenthe dialect, first with his new band Lohues & The Louisiana Blues Club (albums in 2003 and 2005), later under his own name: ten albums and counting, from Allennig (2006) to Moi (2017).
