Aiming to deliver technical solos and breakdowns to satisfy the metal-heads, along with choruses and riffs for those looking for something to get stuck in their head, Dakota Ruins aim to impress on a large scale. Each member brings their own influences and musical preferences to the table to create an unusual fusion of musical tastes, with Whitechapel, A Day To Remember and Killswitch Engage being just a taste of the influences that are brought together. The band was formed in February 2010 and originally consisted of four members (Barney Oakley, Steve Bourne, Emma Goodband and Sam Busby) before they added their fifth member a couple of months later (Luke Ashworth). Having recorded and released their two track EP “The Haze”, Luke unfortunately left the band but was soon replaced by Jon Chadwick.

The bandcontinue to write and record songs whilst gigging, leading up to their recording and release of their 6 track EP, “Respawn”. Dakota Ruins pride themselves on their live performances, aiming to make an impact with a combination of a tight performance and a blistering stage presence.
