Da Hom3yz (circa. 2008) are a Rap and HipHop group from Auckland, New Zealand. They cite such rappers as Soulja Boy, Chris Brown, 50 Cent and Scribe as their main influences. Formed in 2008, they won the New Zealand SmokeFree Rapquest, partly becasue they were the only competitors, and won a recording contract with Ancestors Studios (Of 'The Destiny Duo' fame).

They released their first single 'Up In Dis Bitch' at a private function. They are currently recording their first album, 'Anth3mz'. Their musical style incorporates harmonius rapping, philisophical lyrics and a unique style of beatboxing influenced by the group's rural New Zealand surroundings. Some of their songs include 'Up In Diz Bitch', 'Yo Mum', 'Don't Fuck Wit Me White Trash', and 'Yo Don't Cramp Ma Styl'.

They have yet to release 'Ath3mz' partly because of unforeseen problems. The 3 Members of Da Hom3yz all grew up in the suburb of North Shore, where it is rich in Maori culture and alive with rap music. They site that some of there favourite experiences of music have come from the Shore. These three members are currently drop-outs from one of the local high schools, but Da Hom3yz manager Nick said "It was for the best.

They wouldn't be producing music otherwise." You can check Da Hom3yz on Youtube as well. One of the members has a channel there, where he regularly uploads Da Hom3yz videos and some of his more experimental work. See them at http://www.youtube.com/user/HauoraRock Read more on Last.fm.
