Washington,DC Dj Mikey Vader began Djing in 1996, it wasn't long before he to took his talents out of the bedroom. Spinning Drum and Bass for a few years before moving to breakbeats and now pretty much anything funky that keep bodies moving. Being one of the few dj's to originally step outside of the late 90's dj box of playing only one genre in a set helped Mikey to become a crowd favorite. Spinning Drum and Bass for a few years before moving to breakbeats and now pretty much anything funky that keep bodies moving. Being one of the few dj's to originally step outside of the late 90's dj box of playing only one genre in a set helped Mikey to become a crowd favorite. His genre blending sets and live mashups keep the dance floor packed. A regular @ DC's Garutachi parties @ the Rock & Roll Hotel, a monthly thrown by the girls of Tease & BiSerious Productions. Recent residencies include Be Bar's Friday night Rewind Party, Electrotease aka TEASE (ElectroTease) & the Still Ill Production weekly "SiCK LEAVE" parties at Heaven & Hell and then Spy Lounge with Trevor Martin.

Previous residencies have included DC's "original" Alias parties thrown in conjunction with 2Tuff and Alias Production in 1998 along with Cassidy Karakorn, Dj Tom B, Sheila Storms and 2Tuff's Slant & Stress. His other original residency was the weekly Wednesday Recharge parties thrown by the DMF crew in 1999 at the now defunct Crush in Adams Morgan along with residents Danny Stern and Wes Smith. Clubs & parties that have been played include, various appearances at Asylum in DC, Climax @ Club Sonar in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in March of 2005, Catastropic's Deep (July 99), an appearace at the Solidstate drum & bass party@ State of the Union (Oct 99), Glide 2 @ The Edge Nightclub (Sept 1998). Highlights of his dj career would include an amazing midnight set, ringing in New Years 2005 at Club Five DC.

Velvet Nation in 2006. Performing with great dj's, artists and events, such as Peaches and opening for her during her stop by Electrotease launching her 2004 tour. Others include Mira Aroyo of Ladytron, Matt Safer & James Friedman of The Rapture, Soviet, Spalding Rockwell, JD of Le Tigre, Vhs or Beta, Brazillian Girls, Andy Rourke of The Smiths, Tracy & the Plastics, The Sonambulants, Soft Complex, Carlos D. of Interpol, J. Majik, Karl K, Dj Trace, Michelle Saint, Dj Slant, Dj Stress, Method One, Syntactics, Dj Christopher Lawrence, Dj Tom B., Sheila Storms, Dj Scott Henry, Wes Smith, Karl Matthews, Dj Danny Stern, Mount Sims, Dj Unknown of Fischerspooner, Electrocute, Larry Tee, Avenue D, Freeze Pop, Mommy & Daddy, Gibby of Makeout Club and many more. This all adds up to one thing, a guaranteed good time.

Mikey grabs the attention of the dancefloor and does not let go. In a league of his own, he skillfully mixes breakbeats into hiphop into rock into electro into anything he wants....
