Aged 14 he started to scratch, practice and invent on turntables and within a year had secured his own radio show on the Hip Hop station ITCH FM 105.1 At 17, his skills and unique ear for mixing music won him The UK under 18 DMC Championship. (2002/2003) His live shows and emerging talent as a producer brought him together with UK Hip Hop favorite Jehst.

DJ IQ has an ear for the future and has curated and produced the talents of many others.

This ability to spot the sound of what comes next inspired the creation of the "MANCAN MUSIC" label. Beats created by DJ IQ are the foundation to some of the most exciting and innovatory music to come out from this next generation of artists. Collaborations have included working with Jehst, Klashnekoff, Kyza, Graziella, Dubbledge, Mr. Thing, DJ Skully, Foreign Beggars, Asaviour, Verb.T, Yungun, Kashmere, Bill Zoot, Doc Brown, Skrein and others.

IQ’s products are constantly in demand and his existing collection of albums and mix tapes are stocked in both independents as well as High St stores (HMV/Virgin etc).
