Cole D. Has been singing, some say, before she could talk! She was in chorus all throughout school, and also played the trumpet in the her high school band as well. Other than being in the band at school, she played with two local bands on and off before the age of 17, but left both of them due to creative differences. During 2005 she dropped out of high school in her senior year and quite singing until she was 21, which came about in 2008! A new guy she had been seeing was a MC from up north and Nicole was emersed in Northern hip hop such as Atmosphere, Murs, and Skinny Cavallo. Being a child of the South (South Carolina), Northern hip hop was completly different but sparked her creativity once again.

She was in search of her own, new sound. Her First Collab in 2008 was with Dirty Mane (a.k.a: Tony Ishmeal) on a track called "I'mma Grind" which was on the first album, The Perfect Contridiction. With a $10 mic and really no editing software to speak of she held her own. after her sound evolved a lil more she did another collab with Dirty Mane called "Get Rowdy" in 2009. She felt she was too ordinary in this music genre to really be heard so she sought out an interesting sound, which she found with The Black Matter Theory! A experimental DnB duo from The Netherlands of 2 extremly talented young men! So she went out bought a $150 mic and FL9 and got to work! "R3sp3ct", Their second collab, is a orchestrated dubstep beat that made nicole feel like she had finally found that unique sound she had been searching for.! Currently Cole D.

is working on her first album "I Rise"... stay tumed! Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
