Some have claimed that they were the original creators of D-beat, but Cobra Lung's drummer, DESTRUCTOR, claims "I wasn't doing D-beat, no one was doing that shit. What I was doing was C-beat." C-beat didn't go over well with fans who thought that the beat was too godly and heavy to play. A fan one stated "It's just too good, I don't like it. If I wanted to listen to a drum machine I'd listen to one, but I want some flaws in my hardcore." In 1984, Cobra Lung had a European tour with Larm, in which they helped create the sound we now know as "grindcore".

From there on, they started playing faster and heavier, and began touring with Thrash metal bands like Razor, and Vio-lence. Today, Nancy Puker, Bobby Vomit, Tommy Explosion, and The Destructor can be seen playing various shows throughout the New Jersey area. The band also hates BMXGAMER. Read more on Last.fm.
