Chorus of Souls was an industrial music, art rock, darkwave Los Angeles band formed in 1988. The main personnel of the band were Simpsons animator and drummer Craig Clark, keyboardist Tom Bailey, who were in early Long Beach art punk bands, SofaMusik and Bubblegum Death in the late 1970's and early 80's. They were joined by guitarist Thomas "Chas"Connors, bassist Kenny Lefort, and singer Jill Sparks in 1988. The majority of the one and only Chorus of Souls album was recorded in 1989. An early version of Tool (band) formed at singer Jill Sparks house in 1990 where the musicans would exchange musical and artistic ideas. Craig Clark was also the album cover artist and video director for cult punk/grunge band The Nymphs during this period. After several successful Hollywood area shows and local Los Angeles college radio airplay, Chorus of Souls broke up in 1992. Drummer Craig Clark released the Chorus of Souls album on his Fluxus Records label in in 1993. Read more on Last.fm.
