It all began in the late nineties as a solo hometaping project, producing hundreds of songs of love and hate and everything in between. Chinup the man released tapes in a circulation of one for his girlfriend.

Almost ten years later he met the four other guys of the band at an acoustic J Mascis show. They found out they were on the same wavelenght and Chinup the band was born. Their debut album, THE HORSE IN MOTION, is out now. Just send an email to chinupsongs@gmail.com or visit www.facebook.com/chinupsongs to obtain a copy.

Or you can get a CD or other stuff at one of their gigs, they're getting better and fiercer by the hour. The songs are heavily influenced by eighties new wave and nineties indie rock. If you would feel the need to compare them, you might want to use names as Beck, Guided by Voices, Built to Spill and The Silver Jews. If you want to now more about them you can always write them on chinupsongs@gmail.com, as I said. Cheers! Read more on Last.fm.
