Ride the Rhythm's songs alternated between a somewhat hardcore sound, including a forceful Gladiators shout, to an easygoing, conversational tone. The album was chosen by The Source as one of the 100 Greatest Hip-Hop Albums, and has a small but devoted fan base. In 1989, the German pop/rap/dance crew Snap lifted the acappella and sound from his single "Let the Words Flow" for their hit record "The Power" and in turn his label sued them and then released its own version without Rob's involvement and without the original Loleatta Holloway sample. In 1996, he released a single called Let Me Know Something on Echo International in 1996.

He later released another album, "Black Gold" also on Echo. In 2002, Chill Rob G appeared on DSP's album "In the Red". He has been shouted out by R.A. The Rugged Man. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
