And in mid 2009 replying to a craigslist ad they found Alex Zimmer (Rhythm Guitarist) who although had more formal musical upbringing through his father's classical studies, consider's his improvisations on his guitar a piece of the puzzle this band needed. With a full lineup they began to record a few songs to pass around as demo's and to get a bit of opportunity for playing gig's. For a time "To Fight the Wolf" had been playing everything from small house parties for friends, to bar's and charity event's. Although they were beginning to gain some fame, turmoil began to hit the band. It had been known that many listener's of the band's music was not nearly as impressed with their original vocalist, and with his life becoming more busy the band voted and formally asked him to leave and offered their apology.
The bands determination to record and write only grew as their lineup took a step backwards and in late 2010 the band re-recorded their major songs they had and changed their name to "Caslantic". During this time Caslantic has played on December 18th 2010 at the "Hollywood Park Casino" for a few hundred people and look forward to even bigger crowds. As Caslantic their plans as of now are to find a vocalist, record more music to get their name out there, and to play as many show's as possible to keep growing.
