Carole Matras is a French singer and harpist whose repertoire includes medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music. Carole Matras began his musical training in Paris, where she studied choral and solo singing, while completing a degree in musicology at the University of Paris VIII. Thanks to a scholarship Erasmus, she moved to Italy, where she specializes in early music at the Scuola Musica Antica Venice. Carole Matras began his musical training in Paris, where she studied choral and solo singing, while completing a degree in musicology at the University of Paris VIII. Thanks to a scholarship Erasmus, she moved to Italy, where she specializes in early music at the Scuola Musica Antica Venice. She completed her training by following master classes in Renaissance and Baroque music with M.Lonardi, A.Bova, M.Rosa Salva, e.smith, R.Lislevand, M.Figueras, N.Rime, especially for music with medieval C.Deslignes, P.Memelsdorff (Royaumont), Alla Francesca (Music Centre medieval Paris) and Micrologus at the Cité de la Musique. She taught choral music at the Conservatoire d'Angoulême and the medieval chant through courses and cultural sessions tri Centre European Culture St Jean d'Angely. Carole Matras occurs in concert with sets Ligeriana, Millenarium, The Albera, France and Spain. She plays self taugt the medieval harp and approaches intuitively monodic repertoire European twelfth to thirteenth century, in the tradition of vocal and instrumental improvisation of Troubadours and Trouvères. She participated in various recordings with all Millenarium Ricercar: Joy, dances and songs of the troubadours and jugglers, 2001; Douce Amie songs Trouvères, 2002; Cantigas de Amigo, all fin'amor, 2004 (Pavane Records) Songs canvas together Ligeriana, 2008 (Harmonia Mundi).
