Camille Jones is a multi-talented singer-songwriter, composer, arranger and producer who is currently enjoying worldwide success on the back of ‘The Creeps’, her collaboration with Dutch DJ-producer Fedde Le Grand. The current UK #6 single and worldwide smash may be the first many have heard of this Danish-born singer; the truth is, however, that she has been shaking up the European music scene for nearly a decade with her unique blend of R’n’B-inspired soul, rock, folk and electro showcased on several artist albums, including the recently re-recorded and critically-acclaimed ‘Surrender’. Drawing inspiration from the likes of, Tribe Called Quest, Omar, J.J.Cale, José Gonzáles, Kudu, Missy Elliot, Chicks On Speed, and Wendy & Lisa, Camille has forged her own inimitable style and one that has seen her nominated for an array of awards including a nod as ‘Female Singer Of The Year’ at the 2001 Danish Music Awards. It has been ‘The Creeps’ however, that has seen Camille become a household name.

The single – written by Camille - first appeared on her 2004 album ‘Surrender’ before Dutch DJ-producer Fedde Le Grand signed it to his own burgeoning Flamingo imprint and completed a tough House remix. While it was a raging success before Fedde got his hands on it – the video made by Mikkel Serup was nominated for a Danish Music Award in 2005 – it has since become one of 2007’s massive crossover hits. After picking up early support from Radio 1 DJs Pete Tong, Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell and the Trophy Twins, ‘The Creeps’ was added to the Radio 1 Upfront Playlist five weeks before its release on Ministry Of Sound on 1 March. It reached the top spot in the UK Cool Cutz Chart, #4 in the UK Buzz Chart and #3 on the German Cool Cutz Chart, in addition to being hammered on Kiss 100, XFM and the Galaxy Network.

Following its release on world-renowned US label Tommy Boy, the single made it to #15 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play chart. It’s currently cemented in the UK Top 10 Singles Chart and has been licensed to dozens of compilations, pushing Camille’s star even further! Read more on Last.fm.
