Calerway are a four piece rock band from Perth, Western Australia. Calerway were formed in 2005 by Cameron Edwards (Last Years Hero), James ‘Chedda’ Watroba, Phillip O’Reilly (Boy Genius/Saving Rushmore) & Jean-Paul Rebola (Boy Genius/Saving Rushmore). One of their first gigs was performing at the 2005 Ampfest (a local band competition)[1]. With the release of their debut EP A Letter of Credence, the band subsequently played support for Anberlin, Kisschasy, Behind Crimson Eyes, Something With Numbers and Less than Jake. One of their first gigs was performing at the 2005 Ampfest (a local band competition)[1]. With the release of their debut EP A Letter of Credence, the band subsequently played support for Anberlin, Kisschasy, Behind Crimson Eyes, Something With Numbers and Less than Jake. Also during 2005 saw them securing a signing with indie label Valet Records [2]. In 2006 Calerway toured south-east Asia[3], including a main stage spot at Singapore’s annual Baybeats festival[4]. The band also played support for Gyroscope, Alkaline Trio, The Hot Lies; Bodyjar, Evergreen Terrace, Birds of Tokyo and Silverstein[5] and also toured Victoria playing a number of gigs [6].

2006 also saw the national release of their EP (Modern Music/Sony BMG), with airplay on national youth broadcaster Triple J and their video clip played on ABCTV's rage. The band also performed at the Gravity Games H2O in December, the Perth leg of the Big Day Out, Monsterfest '07 in January and WAMi festival [7] in February 2007. The debut LP is currently in pre-production phase and due for release in November 2007 via Valet Records but the single from the album will be released in July 2007 also via Valet Records while they tour alongside Angela's Dish (NSW) for the single's debut.
