You wanted to run but you couldn’t. You wanted to jump, to get out from there. It's time to neigh and wake up the house's owner on the other side of the fence. It is time for the smell of your stool to reach the nose of your jailer and make turbid his rest." Says the Caballo manifesto, a clear statement of intention that shows the tone of their lyrics and music. The first song they composed “Fuck you” gave the name to Caballo's debut album, released in 2005.
With their noisy and sexy sound earned favorable reviews from such quarters as EP3 Magazine. Seeing the good reactions from critics, Henriquez and Gugliotta called to drummer Robert Gibiaqui and invited him to play for live concerts. After several gigs at the Madrid Rock circuit, Caballo was invited to play in one of the most important music festivals: the Sziget Fest, from Budapest. In 2005 autumn, after playing in the Periferias International Music Fest, Caballo began to work in a new album.
The second album: "El Camino” arrived in 2006 and was so experimental that wasn't well received by the public, however, specialized critics made favorable reviews. In the summer of 2006 Caballo took a break. It was not until december 2009 when Caballo appeared, after three years, in a gig at PutoBar in Caracas, Venezuela. The same year, after arriving in Madrid, the band met with photographer Gabriela Bossio and worked together in the project PhotoKillerMachine. The multimedia show was performed in one of Madrid's eclectic artists space: utopic_US.
While Angela and José were working with Bossio on PhotoKillerMachine, they composed several songs with Diego Henríquez Gugliotta. The result was their third album: “Novem”, recorded in 2012 with Derwin Colls on the drums, even dirtier, bluesy and noisy than the album "Fuck You". A collection of songs that recall the sound of My Bloody Valentine, Jesus and Mary Chain or Heavy Trash and was very well received by the public and critics. Caballo retooled their sound in winter 2014 recruiting drummer Diego Henríquez Gugliotta and mixing more electronic beats and pop hooks like their first album. In spring 2015 the band began to work in a new album, the launch is scheduled for early 2016.
