CL became a YG Trainee in late 2006, contributing to various Big Bang albums and officially part of the YG family in late 2007.

She is fluent in Korean and English. She has featured in "The Leaders (feat. Teddy, CL)" by G-Dragon as well as "Kiss (feat. CL)" for fellow member Sandara; she also has a joint single with Minzy titled "Please Don't Go". 2. CL is the name of a Portuguese project created in August of 2006.

He has worked with many producers from the underground/jazzy hip hop scene including Cradle Orchestra, Thomas Prime, Avens and Blazo.
