Boy Meets Computer is a new 8-bit Pop band from Detroit, MI. They make catchy and fun pop music using chips, vintage synthesizers, and have duel male/female lead vocalists. BMC recently released their debut EP "Late Night" and are hard at work on their full length titled "Evens & Odds" which will be released mid 2010. BMC is led by Dan Mehlhose and Tal Wilner.

Dan writes the songs, plays the instruments, and performs the recording, mixing and mastering. Tal sings sassy lead vocals. Both Dan and Tal are classically trained pianists. They are also math nerds, which explains their love for synth music.

Dan's first job ever was as a pianist at an upscale resort. He is also known for his wild stage performances as a keyboard player for a local Detroit band. Tal has performed in many concerts with a local choir. Tal also speaks fluent Hebrew and has citizenship in Israel and the U.S.

BMC was formed in 2009 out of a love for all things vintage synth. Both members were raised during the golden age of video gaming; Atari, NES, C64. The sounds of these beeps and blips have always been their inspiration. At an early age Dan became interested in synth programming and started collecting synthesizers.

His current collection includes many cult classics. Dan also became interested in recording and has many classic studio pieces as well. Keep a look-out for this fun, quirky, band of self proclaimed nerds. Catch them for a dance party at your favorite venue soon.
