Boutros Bubba is a Dutch band consisting of three people - guitarist/singer Spoelstra, drummer Vreselijk Ongeluk and bassist Freddie Mercury. Boutros Bubba writes melodic and dissonant songs that are often rhythmically challenging. Members of Boutros Bubba used to star, and in some cases still star, in bands and projects such as: Quarles van Ufford, Gone Bald, SGP, Morbide Eenheid, Mallow, Petrified Host, CSMD, De Reizende Verkoper, Spoelstra and Apneu. Boutros Bubba's first recording is called 'Hearing Voicst in a Beer Commercial Makes Me Want to Get Drunk'. The four songs on this EP are also freely downloadable on the site of BB's label, Narrominded.

Boutros Bubba has had 7 tours, the latest one was in the Ireland, july 2010. Boutros Bubba's first official release as a trio was released as a vinyl single, "How I Wrote The Star Spangled Banner / Silly Me and the Homosexuals" in september 2007. The first album, National Anthems, was recorded and mixed in december 2007, mastered in april '08 and released early 2009 on Narrominded, Whosbrain and Momi Recordings. A new album was recorded in August 2010 and has yet to be released.
