The band continued to expand their activity in the capital, being invited continuously to take part in Mathew Street Festivals 2002 & 2003 and other venues across the country. In October 2002 Black Olives set about recording their debut album HOW ABOUT in Kent, which featured 13 original songs. The album was released on 1st of August 2003 receiving an amazing feedback from fans and industry people. The most outstanding tracks are THOSE GONE DAYS, HOW ABOUT, A BETTER LIFE and ABOVE AND BENEATH. On the 21st of August 2003 BLACK OLIVES had a rare opportunity to perform and record live at Abbey Road Studios as part of the follow-up Matthew Street Festival to be held in Liverpool the same month.

Their music can be defined as melodic alternative pop rock - a mixture of styles rolled into one. In April 2006 the band has recruited the new drummer, Darren Atkinson. In April of the same year this was followed by a BARFLY TOUR of England, opening for Fratellis at Barfly in Birmingham. In 2006 the band released 2 new singles CHALLENGE A PARKING TICKET and EVERYBODY FEELS THE SAME. These songs are showing BLACK OLIVES as a growing band that offers the audience well-crafted and beautifully arranged tunes.

This was followed by another single SAME OLD HOLE/ HERO OF MANKIND, recorded in summer 2007. At the moment BLACK OLIVES continue playing regularly various London and UK venues building up a steady following, as well as writing and recording new songs for the next album. Their sound is continuously changing due to their ability to explore various styles of music. 2) Black Olives is a group of young musicians from Brno, czech republic created two years ago. Their style is closest to hip hop but it also has elements of latino, jazz, funky as well as classical music. This combination creates a unique musical show, created by producer Dallas Wayne.

The talent is also shown by two MCs – Al Kahal and Slabik. Last but certainly not least is vocalist Andrey. BO has done succesful concerts throughout the whole country; has also achieved great success in competions such as Tic Tac Hip Hop Talents and Take It (Hip Hop Stage radio), and its songs are always warmly appreciated by public. So far the greatest success was appearance at two major festivals Pohoda (Trencin, Slovakia) and Hip Hop Kemp (Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic).
