Battletorn

Battletorn started off as a trio, born in 2004, in NYC. Originially consisting of Beverly on vox, Omid on guitar and Will on drums, the band met, practiced, created 7 songs and less than a week later, played their first show. Weeks after that, their first release surfaced. By the end of 2005, Beverly left the band leaving just Omid to play guitar and "sing" and Will still playing drums. The first album with the two piece line-up, 'Terminal Dawn', was released mid-April, 2007. Read more on Last.fm

The first album with the two piece line-up, 'Terminal Dawn', was released mid-April, 2007. At the end of the summer of 2007 Omid moved to Nashville, but the 1000 miles apart failed to stop the band. A wild and fun tour of Japan in March 2008 was commemorated with a limited split single with Japanese thrashers M.G.T. on Outlaw Recordings.

A new (and last) LP titled "Reflect The Filth" is due out in spring 2009, along with a book with art/photos/stories from the 5 years the band has been together. This will be the last release by the band, but there are plans to tour to support the album and continue to play live shows when possible. Releases to date (11/20087): Peace of the Grave 7" -- acetate (limited to 60 copies) Villians / Reversed 7" -- one sided (etched b-side) Evil Chains LP/CD Burn Fast 7" -- (a CDr EP of this was made exclusively for their 2006 U.K. tour) Terminal Dawn LP/CD No Mercy Attack! split 7" w/ M.G.T. sold only on Japan tour (limited to 200 copies) There is also a CDr EP titled, 'Wild, Blind & Screaming' released for the summer 2005 tour which is a sampling of the 'Evil Chains' LP which includes a cover of Holocaust's 'Heavy Metal Mania' and the 'Peace of the Grave' 7".
