Bad Catholic Schoolgirls is a Canadian shit hop band from North Bay, Ontario, founded in 2006 . Bad Catholic Schoolgirls rose from the ashes of Ninja Vs. Pirate and consist of Special-T (vocals) and Awesome Gorgeous (vocals and production). Ninja Vs Pirate were the first band to dub themselves shit-hop - a mixture between hip hop, electroclash/dance-punk, and disco; but defined mostly for deliberately offensive humor. The first album, Barely Legal, featured mostly low old-school hip hop grooves with electronic synth arrangements reminiscent of acid rap; though styles ranged from hardcore punk to disco.

Lyrics focused on subjects such as abortion, cannibalism, drug use, video games, masturbation, pedophilia and of course the seal slaughter. Their debut album also featured remakes of some songs formerly by Ninja Vs. Pirate; though never recorded by NvP; and is one of the earliest examples of the shit hop genre. Bad Catholic Schoolgirls are most influenced by punk rock, old school hip hop, and experimental acts like They Might Be Giants and the Residents. While their music is often compared to horrorcore acts such as the Insane Clown Posse, and also to nerdcore hip hop; they tend to distance themselves from these genres. BCS have stated on their official myspace (www.myspace.com/badcatholicschoolgirls), through blogs and bulletins that they are currently working on writing a second album; tentatively titled "You'd Better Be Offended."
