Babalon

Originally formed by Scott, 139 and Sarah, Babalon began as a cross-country project between the three. Despite thousands of miles between them, there was an undeniable synergy. Their debut, Descent, chronicled the final days of the old dream - of the thoughts and hopes that had to be sacrificed so that Babalon could be born. They are the embodiment of the creative process, which is also destructive. Every song is devoted to that theme, both in their lives and the world at large.

Building up to tear down, and tearing down to build up, they seek to spark in each listener the desire for change. Babalon fuses rock, industrial, and electronic elements, focused more on pushing the boundaries of sound and thought than on fitting into one specific genre. Their style ranges from sweet and melodic, with soaring female vocals and almost classical acoustic guitar, to creeping noise, electronic sampling and an industrial crunch; from jazz and funk infused old school rock to hard hitting, head banging metal and everywhere in between. If ever there were a soundtrack for these schizophrenic times, Babalon is it. ----------------------------- Babalon is also an death metal band from Sweden.

Babalon was born in 2008 with the goal of spreading Blackened Death Metal within the borders of Sweden with powerfull music and brutal vocals, under the wings of the Thelemic godess Babalon, they spread the word of Thelema and Paganism, more brutal then ever heard before!
