BG. Knocc Out
Nobody looked out for him or his brother Dresta so trying to survive alone Dresta and Knocc Out started Gang Banging and before you knew it Dresta was doing 5 years behind bars. Knocc Out now had to take care of his younger brothers and sisters as he was the 2nd eldest in the family. Dresta spent his days in prison writing and kept good contact with his brother and soon Knocc Out was writing too. It was hard for Knocc Out without his brother to back him up so he went through tough and dangerous times while his brother was locked up. When Dresta got out him and Knocc Outs skills on the mic were quickly spotted by Toenail records in 1993.
Then later they hooked up with an old friend Eazy E and their appearance on Eazys album Its On (Dr.Dre)187um Killa was all he wanted to make it a top selling album of the year. Now thanks to the success of Eazys album Knocc Out and Dresta became well established in the game and started work on their own solo album that was to be called "Real Brothas" which is their only album to date. Eazy E was meant to feature on DPG killa but was taken to hospital and later died. Suddenly one of his best friends Eric Eazy E Wright died due to complications with aids.
This shocked the nation and left a scar on Dresta and Knocc Out, this ruined every chance they had to get signed to Eazys Ruthless Records and now with absolutely no promotion of their album they released Real Brothas under Outburst Records and Def Jam. which didnt sell as well as they had hoped. But they still managed a hit DPG killa a vicious diss aimed at the Dogg pound. Later that year Str8 Of tha streetz of muthaphukkin' Compton finished by DJ Yella hit the stores and contained more collaborations between Eazy, Dresta and Knocc out.
Knocc out featured on other albums by DJ Yella , Flesh-N-Bone and a few more artists as his style impressed many, talking about reality and the hard times he went through always got to many people. Things then went bad in 1998 Knocc Out was found guilty for involvement in a gang related drive-by. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison but it was cut down and he will be out sometime around august 2006. Leaving him virtually lost and not knowing what to do. In 1999 he found peace within himself and converted to Islam with the help of orthodox Muslims in the prison Mosque.
He changed his name to Al Hasan Naqiyy. Since then he has received letters from all over the world and things are looking very well for him and he will once again step into the game.
