Ajdar

"Ajdar Anık", also known as fallen lord of Bilecik black metal, made his first appearance in a Turkish version of the death/grind "pop-idol" series, "Popstar Türkiye"... He immediately became famous after his perfomance at Istanbul elections (with his song "Alırım Senden Tüm Yetkimi") and managed to make all the jury laugh histerically. The jury of course elected him, but he stormed out of the audition room with his famous quote "I'm not stupid, I'm a mechanical engineer." Read more on Last.fm
The jury of course elected him, but he stormed out of the audition room with his famous quote "I'm not stupid, I'm a mechanical engineer." The audio recording of the audition immediately became popular at Turkish web sites and have been downloaded at p2p sites. The most popular one was actually recorded in Kanal D's studio, at Beyaz Show (a talk show). Beyaz's voice can be heard at the end of the song "mint mint mint". Ajdar made a few appearances in some Turkish late night shows and performed some of his other songs, "Nane" being the most popular.

His songs are basically an 8 beat rhythm, with meaningless lyrics (the song "Nane" (english for "mint") goes on as written: "miint, miint, miiiiint, mi-mi-mi-mi-mint! Minty candy, what kind of excuse is that? Awesome! I'm avesome. What's that to you?") Ajdar Anık in fact really was a mechanical engineering student (in Trakya University) and although he has been exalted by Turkish forums and interactive platforms (such as ekşi sözlük) for actually mocking the present disgrace of Turkish pop music and it's culture, any man who has an over-average mind will know that actually he is a "stupidly cunning" talentless idiot who's trying to be famous the easy way. Ajdar is nowadays making the most of his current popularity that came from his debut video "Çikita Muz", as seen on the left. Video clip of the song become the first for weeks. He is unquestionably the positive proof of Darwin's evolution theory. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
