Acid Outfit was originally formed by a few friends in high school, and later turned into a musical gathering, whence they decided to form a band in late 2005. Original Members: Shane Ricci - Drums Penn Saad - Guitar David Swafford - Bass Cameron Smith - Keyboard This lineup practiced and only recorded one actual song, an instrumental, named Utopia, although another instrumental, Haven, was created a little later on. The only problem the band found, later, was the need for a vocalist. After Penn left in February of 2006, Jon Bender and Jack Gallagher joined up, and even later, Jakob Langehorn joined, changing the lineup to: Shane Ricci - Vocals/Drums David Swafford - Bass Cameron Smith - Keyboard Jon Bender - Vocals/Rhythm Guitar Jack Gallagher - Drums Jakob Langehorn - Lead Guitar After a few unsuccessful attempts at recording songs, the band threw together a "song" called Roar, The Shoe which is just a recording of the band having fun in Shane's basement. After a much needed boost of morale, the band wrote a little new material and attempted to play it, and eventually recorded their best shots at these songs. All of their music was put onto 7 CD's, named "This Utopia", and distributed to each band member and ex-band member. The band considers Utopia and Haven the best of their short lifespan. This band is defunct as of June 2006.
