Accidental Seabirds

Accidental Seabirds started out as the solo project of multi-instrumentalist, poet, painter, illusionist Jesse Lee Herdman. Accidental Seabirds have taken their live performance to a new level and are steadily expanding their fanbase throughout the Tri-State Area. The songs of Accidental Seabirds are like dreams that seem at once comfortably surreal and yet strangely familiar. They are honest projections of thoughts and feelings direct from the heart of existence. This sense of empathy allows for an experience in which the listener can be a part of the song as opposed to being apart from it. The singing can go from bedroom calm to skydive intense in the blink of an eye.

The main melody is quite often supported by layers of vocal harmonies which produce the effect of a string quartet in the subway. Polyrhythmic drumming and odd meters can really get the primal heartbeat racing. Sweet bass lines, warm keyboards and wild electric guitars combine to create a wide variety of sonic backdrops over which the poetic lyrics can fly. Each song is an adventure in it's own.
