Marlon C. and Ciddyboy South were both trying to find their own way when a conversation between the two and another coworker led to the creation of a song that would set things in motion. After a few weeks of working on the song the three friends decided to put the song to the test. They all wanted more than the approval of close friends and family when it came to their music and decided to see how the general public would react to their sound.
Ciddyboy South then contacted a local DJ named Mr. South West Atlanta who is the cousin of one of one of his childhood friends. Mr. South West was working at City Life cafe, a local Atlanta club on Metropolitan Ave at the time.
He told the guys to come and perform at their open mic night. As the time approached for the guys to take the stage the DJ asked Ciddy what the name of the group was, and he answered with the name that they vowed would make history. From that day forth Ab-So-Lute came alive. What originally started out as 3 solo artist were now performing as one.
After their performance, Marlon C was approached by someone looking to bring in more acts for his open mic showcase. That venue was Savoy Lounge on Campbellton Road. From that point on the group started to make a name for themselves. All was well for Ab-So-Lute except for one member.
Due to personal reasons, Marlon and Ciddy were informed that the 3rd member could no longer be part of the treo. Then there were 2. After one members decision to drop from the group the guys kept things moving. Moving from one open mic to the next, Ab-So-Lute searched to find any chance to stand in spotlight.
Marlon C. and Ciddyboy South have been growing as artist and conquering the mic every time they hit the stage. Definitely on the rise and definitely a duo to be reckoned with. Read more on Last.fm.
