AER20-200


AER20-200 was established in late 2009 when a gloomy, yet animate dance track was required for a video art piece addressing environmental issues. Although the music was produced and timed to a predefined script, it soon became evident that the resulting track could easily stand on its own. Although the music was produced and timed to a predefined script, it soon became evident that the resulting track could easily stand on its own. Being able to fulfill a very specific need, the musical style evolved into something quite distant to the contemporary trends in electronic music. In AER20-200's tracks, dark ambient passages and noise give way to glitchy percussions, reverbed creaks and 4/4 bass, pumping in a tempo a bit slower than on an average dance track. When the video project was completed, AER20-200 continued experimenting with this newfound style. Music being made mainly during daylong train journeys, three more tracks were created.

The final breakthrough took place in Sikofest 2010, where the style was approved by a demanding audience and the decision to release the debut EP, Glycosaminoglycan Sulodexide, on vinyl was made.
