Soon afterwards Eli was kicked out because he was focusing his attention on his other band and was not dedicated enough to become a serious member. It was at this point in 2009 that they reformed under the name A.Tornado, playing in the middleboro/taunton/lakeville area. As we searched for a new bass player our friend PJ wanted to play with us and started off doing rhythm guitar. He eventually got a bass and became an official member.
Together they finished work on five original songs. Drew had the hookup with his Uncle Ray, who owned a recording studio, and after a long night of hard work those five beautiful songs emerged into the world (3 boys and 2 girls). Eventually PJ was removed from the band due to a lot of issues. After this there was a small hiatus while we were looking for a new band member in 2009 We have been fortunate enough to find a new bassist, Tim Lynch, who is by far the best musician we have worked with thus far.
Thus we have reformed in 2010 and are better than ever. We've already been making sick music with Timmy boy and we hope to continue down that path. And so now you're wondering, why the hell is this band's name A.Tornado?. Well just have yourself a seat and let grandpa tell you a story of daring, adventure, and swashbuckling excitement. The name was birthed out of an experience Alex had with the United States Postal Service who incorrectly mailed him a letter under the name "Mr.
Al Tornado". It is pronounced like the letter "A" and not "Ahh". If you pronounce it as "Ah Tornado" you will be engulfed in flames and sent to the farthest reaches of Columbia, naked. We figured it was as good a name as any, so it has stuck with us. We are working on loads of new stuff musically, graphically, and generally; it's very exciting and in time it should be amazing.
