Šipka u Glavi
Šipka u Glavi
First acoustic album was made in summer 2007. on an old broken acoustic guitar with a 4 € computer microfone. The album was called "Akustik, lajv end anplagd", and the band took the name of Šipka u Glavi. This album is very rare, and has never been played live, accept for "Keko,Keko" song.
Second album named "Klanje Svinja- Tribute to Ed Wood" was out in April of 2008 and contained groups biggest hit "Klanje Svinja" which became a big hit on the internet. Album was recorded in a few weeks in an old cinema on a electric guitar and a 30 year old drums. Album has many collaborations and stands as ŠuG's best album to this day by fan choice. First live concert was at local festival at 03.08.2008.
and the show was rather controversial. While the main part of the public was delirious about ŠuG, some didn't realize their concept of art and had attempted to stop the show. Electricity has been sabotaged for 5 times, but ŠuG kept on and pulled the whole concert to the end. Small Vela Luka community of 4500 was astonished by their show and is still quoted through the place.
Third album was more of a compilation then a real album. The name was " Kaos Tonova" and contained three discs, first with some live audio and new acoustic songs, second named Kaos Tonova -Bonus Disc, with some songs that were too good to be thrown but not good enough to be on the first cd. Third cd was "More", a conceptual disc containing only three songs, "Jezero"," Život Sipe" i "Kina", but length of over 20 minutes of instrumental psiho rock . Forth album, but second real LP , was "Uskrsnuće" and it was out in May of 2009. It was the first album recorded outside Vela Luka, it was made in Split, and had a harsher production then any other album.
Album continued with aggressive music and satiric lyrics that Šipka is known for and had a hit single "Ja sam mali panker". Ante and Danko then went to Zagreb and made an official video for that song, which was a hit on the internet. And now Šipka has done it again.. Their child of rage caled "Revolucija Kaosa" iz out, started in April of 2010, and it's marking Vela Luka as the center of avantgarde music in Croatia.. Three singles are out with videos published on Youtube, "Ostavljen za Valentinovo", "Domoljubna" and "Kosor", and others are on their way although Šipka anounced a brand new album this summer.
"Revolucija Kaosa" is a top of their work with lyrics that speak of politics, love, smal cats, revolutions, depression, celebritys and laimness of punk music, with guitar that's carving through every material and drums that make a thunder storm sound as a symphony, with colaborations that would make Timbaland weep and cry out for his mother, with energy and force that is used to power up the nuclear reactors in North Korea... And more is yet to come.. Fear them, the Gods are amongst us.. And they hate Šipka u Glavi..
